One of the most anticipated Marvel movies is almost here! Captain America: Civil War will be showing in the big screens anytime now. We'll get to see Avenger vs Avenger - Captain America vs Iron Man, Scarlet Witch vs the Vision, Black Widow vs Hawkeye, Winter Soldier vs Black Panther, and also the exciting debut of the new Spider-Man! Great times indeed!
If the previous Captain America: Winter Soldier (which was awesome) was any indication, this follow up sequel is sure to be a big hit for Marvel fans. Captain America: Civil War will see most of the Avengers in action (except Thor and Hulk), as well as more of the Ant-Man (which was another fun movie).

The latest trailer of the Suicide Squad movie just released at the MTV Awards looks totally great!
The whole Suicide Squad team is shown in their glory, and even the Joker and the Batman get to strut their stuff. Not gonna lie, this new DC movie about a ragtag bunch of super-villains being heroes looks set be the next "Guardians of the Galaxy".
Cool looking characters, famous actors, badass looking super-villains, and Harley Quinn! Also can't wait to see Ben Affleck's Batman again, Leto's Joker, and Will Smith's Deadshot. Oh, and Katana looked awesome.
So what can possibly go wrong? I think this Suicide Squad movie will rock the superhero movie world!

So the second season of the brilliant Netflix series Daredevil has come and gone. Just when you were enjoying the whole spectacle it suddenly came to en end. It was quick wasn't it? I personally thought that 13 episodes was just too meager. I wanted at least 22 episodes in one season. Maybe the next one? Come on, Netflix... I beg you, Marvel!!!
Anyway guess we have to wait another year for the net dose of DD's Season 3 adventures. We will have to settle with Jessica Jones Season 2 and Luke Cage's debut coming very soon. Not my favorite characters in the MCU but they will do. For now. Hopefully we will be able to see some Iron Fist previews, and definitely want more of Frank Castle/Punisher!
So here are some of my random thoughts after going through all 13 episodes of the ol' Hornhead...
Billy clubs, yo!
1. Daredevil's costume - I thought it looked better than Season One. I still prefer the Affleck DD movie version, but the Netflix DD's mask/helmet looked great. I just didnt like the loose fitting suit that Charlie Cox wears in Season 2. It should be tighter and more form fitting.
Punisher series next?
2. The Punisher - Jon Bernthal nailed the role as Frank Castle! He did such a great job that he almost stole the show from Cox's Daredevil. He was violent, brutal, tough, efficient in getting the job done (eg killing bad guys, making them stay down), and also sympathetic at the same time. He also gave Daredevil such a tough fight in the encounters. What a badass... Definitely need to see more of Frank Castle on Netflix! Oh yeah, finally seeing him in the classic skull was another "YES!" moment.
Elektra Assassin
3. Elektra - I thought Elodie Yung was just ok at first. Then she grew on me later on in the series. Maybe it was her costume that was a slight let down. I would have preferred her wearing the bandana headgear (like in the comics) rather than the half mask. Still, it was nice to see her wield the double sai later in the series. She could really cause some damage with those blades. Here's a sai in your eye, evil ninja!
4. Charlie Cox - the main man! He is a great Daredevil. Nuff said.
Can we see the Gladiator in Season 3?
5. The Gladiator? - A cool easter egg when Melvin Potter showed us a glimpse of his Gladiator armor (under his shirt). Hopefully they will make Gladiator one of the villains in Season 3. Shouldn't be too difficult. Can't wait to see him in all his double saw-blade glory!
6. The billy club - Just when I almost gave up hope on ever seeing DD use his famous billy club with the grappling hook! Then it finally showed up in the end. Then DD uses it to swing around buildings. Yes!!! Cant ask for more...
The Hand will strike again
7. The Hand - Always cool to see some ninja action. Was Nobu suppose to be Kirigi? Was waiting for them to mention it but it never happened. I bet they will show up in the future with Elektra leading them this time. Matt Murdock will have his hands full fighting Elektra.
The Kingpin is plotting DD's downfall
8. The Kingpin - It was a pleasure to see Vincent D'onofrio appear in those couple episodes. Man, that guy is one menacing dude, as the Kingpin should be. I wanted Frank to take him out but I knew it was not the right moment. Next time, baby...
9. Stick - Scott Glen was perfectly cast as Stick. He was a mean, ornery old Sensei that nobody liked. But he could kick ass. The way he finished off Nobu was awesome. And the torture scene was painful to watch. Hope to see more of him in the third season.
10. Ass kicking, throat slashing, bone crunching fight scenes - there were numerous fight scenes in the second season. Standouts were the several Daredevil vs Punisher battles, the stair case scene with the Dogs of Hell, the skirmishes with the Hand, the Stick-Elektra-DD tussle, the brutal beatdowns delivered by Wilson Fisk, the Punisher prison fight. Well done. Truly not disappointed.
11. Bullseye? - With the Wilson Fisk gathering his power whilst hiding in prison, we know he will eventually come out and rule the underworld as the Kingpin. So it would be very likely he will need a right hand man to back him up as his muscle. So can we all say "Bullseye"? He has to show up int he series eventually right? He is the numero uno DD villain, after all!
So now we have to chill and wait for Season 3 to hit the screens next year. We have the other Netflix Marvel series to watch, and also the upcoming MCU movies. Captain America: Civil War, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, X-Men: Apocolypse... What else?

The amazing Netflix series Daredevil (season 2) is almost here and from all the buzz and previews we have managed to see so far, you can bet that the second season will totally rock. Here are some reason why.
Season 1 success
Most Daredevil and comic fans in general have agreed that the first season of Daredevil was really good. The story and plotline were engaging, and the actors were all on point, particularly Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/Daredevil) and Vincent D'Onofrio (Kingpin). Toby Leonard Moore who played Wesley was also great, but sadly he got killed off, as was Vondie Curtis-Hall who played Ben Urich. Oh yeah, and Rosario Dawson also stood out as Claire Temple.
Thea action scenes were well done, especially the legendary hallway scene, and the showdown with the ninja (Nobu) was exciting too.
So based on the strength of Season 1, we are guaranteed a more thrilling ride in Season 2!
New characters
Jon Bernthal as the Punisher! Everyone's stoked that the vigilante anti-hero Punisher will be introduced into the Marvel tv-verse. From the trailers, the Walking Dead's Bernthal seems perfectly cast as Frank Castle/Punisher. He looks like a complete badass and will surely give Matt Murdock a challenging time as they square off as Daredevil vs the Punisher!

There's also going to be the famous Elektra (played by Elodie Yung). What can I say? Matt's ninja assassin ex-girlfriend who kicks serious ass will definitely turn up the heat!

Are you kidding me? Seeing them appear in the second trailer gave me goosebumps! What's better as bad guys than those nasty ninja killers? Looks likie they've got an army of them this time round, and Daredevil will have his hands full. Hopefully they bring in the character calle Kirigi. Who wants to bet that Elektra and Punisher will team up with DD to take on the Hand?
Stick
Daredevil's mentor Stick returns. It's always cool to see Scott Glenn play a blind, mean and ornery ninja sensei who gives Matt a hard time. Wonder what role he he has to play in all this problems with Elektra and the Hand...

So there you have it! We've got DD returning! There's the Hand! Punisher! Elektra! Man... what more can make this Season 2 even more mind-blowing?... Hmm... Can we please have Bullseye?

But she hates the cold so you have to make sure the air conditioning is turned off at night! This little doll also has her own pillow and blanket and “sleeps” on the same bed as the owner...

These doll collectors believe that the Child Angel dolls contain the spirit of a real child. If you treat them well like a member of your real family, well then, good fortune will come to you! According to Natsuda, her luck improved after owning her doll as she managed to win the lottery recently and her buddy (who also owns a similar doll) was able to repay his long standing debts after praying to it!

Made famous by some local celebrities, these Child Angel dolls cost up to US$600. These local movie stars and performers think the dolls brought them professional success...
Apparently these dolls have become so popular with the lonely (and quirky) residents of Bangkok that you see people carrying and going around with the dolls in cinemas, the subway, restaurants etc. A bit freaky if you ask me...

Lots of tie-fighters, x-wing fighters, jedi, sith lords, droids, light sabres, millenium falcon, new characters (such as the Vader worshiper)... heck, even old faces Han Solo, Artoo and Chewie get to appear!

As we are all anxiously waiting, the DC movie Suicide Squad is soon to hit the big screens.
Fans are excitedly anticipating a really over the top portrayal of the Joker by Jared Leto.
Leto looking like a zombie Joker
This is further compounded by Will Smith (who plays Deadshot in the movie)'s recent interview where he told fans that Leto never broke character on the set! Smith said "I’ve never actually met Jared Leto.... We worked together for six months and we’ve never exchanged a word outside of ‘Action’ and ‘Cut!’ We've never said 'Hello' ... I've only spoken to him as Deadshot and as him as The Joker."
According to Smith, to date he has yet to formally "meet" Leto. "So, the first time I see him will be ‘Hey, Jared. What’s up?’ [and] 'Hey, Will, how you doing, nice to meet you?' ... Not a single word exchanged off camera. He was all in on the Joker ... I'm looking forward to meeting him."
Isn't that a bit crazy? Jared Leto who is known to be an intense method actor, will surely wow the fans when he is seen as the Joker when the movie opens soon.
Will he be the best and favorite Joker of all time? We'll have to wit and see...

I think my vote has to go to Heath Ledger. He was totally impresive (not to mention psycho and scary) in The Dark Knight.
Great news for fans of the classic TV series the X-Files! Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Mulder (David Duchovny) have been reunited to bring the the popular alien-government conspiracy series back to the screen.
From the look of the first trailer, we are treated with the ever familiar confusion of mysterious figures, strange going-ons, political conspiracy twists and turns, and the mention of "aliens".

Okay, so Mulder and Scully do look a bit older now, but it's still a blast to see the two team up again after all these years. They do share a great chemistry and work very well together.
The six episode series is scheduled for release next year.
So every Avengers fan is currently confused and thinking... Which side is the Scarlet Witch going to be on? Will she side with Iron Man's team or Captain America's team?
The recent interview with Elizabeth Olsen (who plays Wanda "the Witch") did not reveal much information. Elizabeth was coy when she was asked whether her allegiances would be with Robert Downey Jr's Team Iron Man or Chris Evans' Team Cap. She said that Wanda is "always the wild card", so there's no telling which team she will play on in the movie.
The upcoming Captain America Civil War movie will focus on the Government trying to regulate and control superheroes following a major disaster or event which involves someone with powers. This will bring Iron Man and Cap into conflict. Iron Man is more for the government regulating superheroes, whilst Cap insists on individual freedom.
The other Avengers will therefore be equally divided into the two camps.
Some gossip has placed the Scarlet Witch in Team Cap, since she would be closer to Cap considering that she will be trained by him (as seen in Avengers 2). Also as we saw in Avengers Age of Ultron, Wanda had issues with Tony Stark, since she (and Quicksilver) blamed Stark for the death of their parents.
So it is very likely Scarlet Witch will play for Team Cap.
On the other hand, following another interview, Elizabeth Olsen stressed that the Witch is a wildcard, and that there is no guarantee that she will be a "hero or villain". So maybe she won't be on either side!
The DC comics blockbuster movie Batman vs Superman Dawn of Justice is still along way off, but the buzz is on as fans eagerly await the opening day.
Here's a crazy and hilarious music video made by the kings of movie parody HISHE. Not only did they do a bang up job making fun of Bats and Supes, but they also expertly parodied Taylor Swift's popular hit song "Bad Blood".
Well, that's according to Jason Momoa, who will be suiting up as the famous sea king Aquaman in the upcoming Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice movie.

Momoa was asked a few questions during his appearance at the recent Fan Expo Canada, and the Aquaman star said that it's funny people make fun of the character. But then he said "Just wait. Let's wait a little bit, and then you can make jokes"...
He looks badass here, I think.
I think that's a hint that the Aquaman in the movie will be not as campy or cartoony as some people are expecting. He may even be cast in a darker light, more similar to how Batman and even Superman (Man of Steel) are portrayed nowadays.
Other than the Batman v Superman movie, Momoa will also be appearing in the Justice League movies and also an Aquaman movie. So things are definitely looking up for the fishy one!
The time is almost here. The FORCE is almost upon us. Three more months and we will get to see our favorite Star Wars characters (plus many new ones) show off on the big screen again!
As we approach the release date of the seventh installment of the fan favorite sci-fi franchise, more and more details about the movie and its characters are trickling in.
One of the new characters that have piqued fans' curiousity is Kylo Ren (played by Adam Driver). He's the badass looking dude who swings around his equally badass looking lightsabre (as seen in the trailer).

Upon first glance, the red colored lightsaber makes us think of Darth Vader. Meaning Kylo Ren is possibly a Sith? However, the Star Wars director JJ Abrams has confirmed that Kylo Ren is not a Sith. He is only an employee of Supreme Leader Snoke. Snoke (played by Gollum star Andy Serkis) is a powerful person in the Dark Side of the Force. Kylo Ren, added Abrams, is a member of the Knights of Ren. He also wears a mask that pays tribute to Darth Vader's mask. So from that we can gather that maybe Kylo Ren is some sort of Vader wannabe, or at least he is a big fan.

More stats - There were 6.3 million viewers in the 18-49 demographic (which is highly covetted by tv execs). So now AMC has the honor of having three of its shows in the all time top five cable premieres list.

We have just been teased with the new suit upgrade suit for Daredevil. Yup, looks like Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) will suit up with new togs for the second season of Netflix's Daredevil.
The pic was taken from Daredevil's Twitter account. It shows the newly upgraded red superhero suit that the blind lawyer cum superhero will be wearing.
At the end of last season's awesome episode, Murdock finally put on his official red costume (as opposed to the black outfit he wore early on), as he felt the need for better armor to ward off the baddies' ferocious attacks. The season 1 red suit looked okay, but many felt that it made DD look a bit clumsy.
For the upcoming and eagerly awaited season 2, our red suited vigilante will come face to face with the ruthless vigilante The Punisher (Jon Bernthal). DD will also have to take on the gorgeous but deadly assassin Elektra (Elodie Yung). We are very likely going to see more of the Hand in action too. The deadly band of ninjas who are experts in dealing death. So it's a good thing DD will be getting a tougher suit to protect him.
Chief creative officer for Marvel Joe Quesada said that Jon Bernthal and Charlie Cox were both world class cast, and seeing them perform together is going to be epic.
As for Elodie Yung, Quesada said not only does she look like the character, she also walks like her and has the martial arts skills to match, and it will be awesome to see her in the role of Elektra.
One of the best ever tv series is finally back on the screens. Yup, Game of Thrones Season 3 is showing again, after a loooong wait after Season 2. Looks like there will be lots of dragons, babes, dire wolves and bloody battles! What's not to like?
